Assam TET 2019: How To Upload/ Update Your Application Form ?


Empowered Committee on Elementary TET, Government of Assam has released a notification regarding updation or uploading of documents for those candidates who submitted Assam TET 2019 on-line application as * pursuing professional course (B.Ed/D.ELEd).
Who is eligible to update/ upload Assam TET 2019 Form? 

Candidates who had submitted Assam TET 2019 on-line application as * pursuing professional course (B.Ed/D.EL.Ed) will have to mandatorily upload the a few details regarding their courses. 

* Pursuing professional Course means all those candidates who have submitted the application even though they have not acquired the B.Ed/D.EL.Ed qualification

What documents need to upload? 

Following documents are to be uploaded: 

a. Date of Admission in professional course ( B.Ed/D.EI.Ed)
b. Name of Institution where pursuing the professional course ( B.Ed/D.EI.Ed)
c. Mode of professional course( B.Ed/D.EI.Ed) : Regular or ODL
d. Image of self attested Admission receipt with seal of the Institution where pursuing the professional course ( B.Ed/D.ELEd) 

When to upload the documents? 

Candidates need to upload above documents from 19th September, 2019 to 27th September, 2019.

How to upload? 


They have to upload/update their Application Form with the help of their Application Number andPass word within the above mentioned period, i.e., from 19th September, 2019 to 27th September, 2019.

Assam TET Syllabus 2019: Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Validity & Qualifying Marks

Government of Assam has released the notification for most awaiting Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2019 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the state of Assam. 
In this article, we will discuss about examination pattern as well as syllabus of Assam TET 2019.

Structure of Assam TET 2019:

The Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Lower Primary level (classes I to V)

Paper I (for classes I to V): 


Structure and Content (All Compulsory)

(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory)
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(ii) Language I – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar (compulsory-any one)
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(iii) Language II – English(compulsory)
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(iv) Mathematics
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(v) Environmental Studies

Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

* All(150) questions will be of MCQ type; each question will carry 1 mark.

The Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Upper Primary level (classes VI to VIII).


Paper II –Mathematics & Science or Social Science (Studies) (for class VI to VIII):

(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory)
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(ii) Language I – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar (compulsory-any one)
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(iii) Language II –English (compulsory)
Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
Marks: 30 Marks

(iv)
(a) For Mathematics and Science teacher : Mathematics and Science
 Or
Number of Questions: 60 MCQs

(b) For Social Studies teacher : Social Studies

* All(150) questions will be of MCQ type; each question will carry 1 mark.

Duration of examination:

2 1/2 hours (150 Minutes) for Paper-I and 2 ½ hours (150 Minutes) for Paper II. Additional 20 minutes’ time (per hour) will be there for visually impaired candidates.

Minimum Marks for qualifying in TET:


A candidate is required to score 60 % i.e. 90 marks out of 150 to qualify the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET). However, for SC/ST (Hills)/ST (Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH), there will be relaxation of 5 %. Thus, for these candidates, qualifying marks will be 83 out of 150 i.e. 55 %

* There will be no negative marking.


Medium of question paper:

Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, English

Validity:


The validity of the Mark sheet cum Certificate of TET shall be for 7 (seven) years from the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, TET, Govt. of Assam.

Important Points: 


* The Test will be only for Paper-I (Lower Primary) and Paper –II (Upper Primary).
* Candidates who intend to appear in both the papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II will have to pay the fee for both the papers separately and will have to submit separate Online Application.
* There will be no verification of documents in support of qualification etc. of candidates while appearing in TET. However, documents of a TET qualified candidate will be verified during the time of teacher engagement process by the concerned authority. In case of submission of false information/claim regarding qualification etc. he/she will be criminally liable

Assam TET Previous Year Question Papers 2012 [Download PDF]

Government of Assam has released the Assam TET 2019 notification and is going to organize Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on 20th October 2019. So, candidates should start preparation forAssam TET 2019 immediately. In this article, AssamCareer.com is going to provide Previous Years' question Paper of Assam TET.

For Assam TET 2019, there will be two question papers: 

* The Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Lower Primary level (classes I to V)
* The Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Upper Primary level (classes VI to VIII)

Examination duration is 150 minutes in each paper.  Additional 20 minutes’ time (per hour) will be there for visually impaired candidates.

There will be 150 questions of MCQ type; each question will carry 1 mark. There will be no negative marking.

Assam TET 2019 Official Notification for Lower Primary and Upper Primary, Apply Online


Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2019, Assam.
Last Date: 17/09/2019.

Member Secretary, Empowered Committee on Elementary TET, Government of Assam has released the notification for most waiting Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2019 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the state of Assam. Assam TET 2019 is going to be held on 20th October 2019 and online application process is going to start from 2nd September 2019.
Government of Assam , in provision of Section 23 of the RTE Act – 2009 and in view of order of Hon’ble Gauhati High Court in WP(C) No 2280/2018 has decided to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2019 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the state of Assam as per the guidelines laid down by NCTE and thereby on-line applications are invited from the candidates having permanent residence in the state of Assam who intend to appear in Paper I( Lower Primary) and Paper II ( Upper Primary) of TET.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria of a candidate to appear in TET are as follows:
A. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
B. Candidate must have minimum academic and professional qualification as follows:
Minimum Qualification for appearing in Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V):

a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.
b) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February, 2011, may also apply for TET. However he can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.
Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in D.El.Ed program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause B under subheading Relaxation.
Minimum Qualification for appearing in Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII):
a) Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)
b) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February, 2011, may also apply for TET. However he can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.
Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in 1-Year B.Ed. program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause C under subheading Relaxation.
Relaxation: Following relaxation will be applicable
A. Relaxation up to 5 % in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH) to appear in TET (The degree of handicap in case of PH candidates should be minimum 40% and to be certified by the competent authority) both for Paper-I (LP Level) and Paper-II (UP Level).
B. For Paper-I (LP Level) relaxation up to 5 % in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 2-Year D.El.Ed. before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51- 1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed. subsequently.
C. For Paper-II (UP Level) relaxation up to 5 % in Graduation marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 1-Year B.Ed. before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 1-Year B.Ed. subsequently.

How to apply:
Steps of submission of on-line Application Form and examination fee are:
a) Log-in through the web site https://ssa.assam.gov.in or https://sebaonline.org
b) Download Instruction Manual.
c) Read carefully the Instruction Manual on how to submit the online application form.
d) Submit Online Application and upload Passport size Photo and Signature of recommended size (as mentioned in Instruction Manual).
e) The candidate has to pay the fee through online banking/credit card/ debit card etc. he/she can take print out of the Online Application form.

Assam Secondary TET Notification 2019: High School & HS TET Validity Extended Upto 7 Years

Chairman, TET Empowered Committee for Secondary Education, Assam has issued a new notification regarding extension of validity of TET certificates for a period of 7 years instead of 5 years. Candidates who have passed earlier Assam High School TET and Assam HS TET will have now extended validity against their TET certificates. 

This extension of TET certificate validity will now allow these candidates to apply for the recruitment of Graduate and Post Graduate Teacher/s post lying vacant in various district districts of Assam.

The official notification is as given below: 

It is to notify all qualified candidates of Secondary Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) and Higher Secondary Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) that the validity of the TET certificates have been extended upto 7 years from 5 years as notified earlier.
