Indian Coast Guard has released a notification for the recruitment of 50 Navik {Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward)} vacancy.

No of posts: 50 [ UR (GEN): 20, EWS: 5, OBC: 14, ST: 3, SC: 8]

Educational Qualification: 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central/State Government (5% relaxation in above minimum cut off will be given for SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained Ist, IInd or IIIrd position in any field of sports events at the Open National Championship/ Inter-state National Championship)

Job Roles:

(i) Cook: They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration.In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.

(ii) Steward: They would be required to serve food in the Officer’s mess as waiters, housekeeping, maintenance and accounting of funds, wine and stores handling, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.

Age: 18 to 22 years as on 01 Apr 2021 i.e. born between 01 Apr1999to 31 Mar 2003, both dates are inclusive. ( Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Remuneration:

(a) Pay & Allowances: Starting Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is 21700/-(Pay Level-3)plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the regulation enforced time-to-time.

(b) Promotion: Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Pradhan Adhikari with pay scale 47600/-(Pay level 8) with Dearness Allowance.

(c) Perquisites:

Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed.

DC Lakhimpur Grade-IV Recruitment 2020 Selection Process

Candidates, whose applications are accepted as eligible criteria will required to appear in an objective type written examination. The written examination will be of 100 marks for 02:00 hours duration. The selection will strictly on merit basis.

The syllabus of Written Examination is as given below:

(i) General Knowledge: 50 marks
(ii) General English: 25 marks
(iii) Language skill in Assamese: 25 marks

The "Chief Minister's Special Scholarship" Examination scheme started from 2012 in the form of merit scholarship through a written examination amongst the students of Class V and VIII. Then the scheme was conducted every academic year by the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam through the district concerned.

The Chief Minister’s Special Merit Scholarship Scheme is an incentive to students at the elementary level to encourage as well as assistance to the students for higher education. The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam conducts this Scholarship Examination at the Block Level through district among the intending candidates of Class-V and Class-VIII each year.  

CM Special Scholarship Amount

A sum of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand) only in the form of Fixed Deposit Receipt for a period of five years and a Certificate of appreciation is awarded to each successful students on a merit basis and the scholarship is restricted to either the top-ranked students or the students securing at least 50% marks or above; whichever is less.

Why Chief Minister's Special Scholarship Exam Results Delayed ?

The results of the Chief Minister's Special Scholarship examination that was held in February this year were supposed to be declared in May.

When asked on the delay in declaring the examination results, a top official said, "The examination was conducted on schedule. However, then came the corona-induced lockdown, leading to delay in evaluation of the answer scripts. Now the evaluation is complete. Now we've given the task of printing the result sheets and certificates to the Government Press. The results will be declared as soon as the printing by the Government press is done. Maybe, at the end of October or the first half of November the results will be declared."
