Director of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has released the official notification for Assam CEE 2020 Counselling. Assam CEE 2020 Counselling is being held for admission into various BE/B.Tech/MCA courses Offered by the State Engineering Colleges and other Institutions of Assam. This year due to Covid-19 pandemic, Assam CEE 2020 Counselling will be held in online mode.

The first round of online counselling for admission in to the BE/B. Tech/MCA courses of State Engineering Colleges and other Institutions, based on the Common Entrance Examination-2020, Joint Lateral Entrance Examination, 2020 & Joint MCA Entrance Examination, 2020 will be held from 5th October 2020 to 10th October, 2020.

Assam CEE 2020 Counselling Criteria

The aspiring eligible candidates having CEE 2020/ JLEE 2020/ JMEE 2020 score are to participate in the online counselling process. The link of the online portal will be available in https://dte.assam.gov.in for the stated period.

Assam CEE 2020 Online Counselling Process

- The aspiring candidates must keep track of the online counselling process to participate in the counselling process. It is the responsibility of the candidate to provide his/ her response within the stipulated time in the online portal.

- Candidates must upload correct and true data/documents regarding the information and especially educational qualification, Date of Birth, Caste/ Category, CEE/JLEE/JMEE Score, PRC and other relevant data.

- If any given information is found false, he/she shall be disqualified al any stage and criminal proceedings will be drawn against him/her for misleading the counselling process and depriving the genuine candidates and it will be published in the public domain.

- The status of allotment of the Institution and Branch of the Candidates will be uploaded in the portal. After publication of candidate's Institution and Branch, the candidate must submit the Acceptance Letter in the given format to receive final allotment of Institution and Branch [by 13th October, 2020, 5PM).

- Only such candidate who accepts the admission offer and who takes admission at the allotted Institution will only be considered for further up gradation of his choice of Institution & Branch in the subsequent round of counselling, if any.

- Candidates are to take admission at the allotted institute online and attend the online classes by 15th of October, 2020, 5.00PM.

- Candidates failing to take admission at the allotted institute and failing to attend the online classes by 15th of October, 2020 without prior information and valid reasons, his/her allotment of seats will be cancelled without any notice and will be filled up by the other aspirants in order of merit list.

Cotton University PG Admission Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree with Honours/ Major from a recognised university (refer to the notification of General Information for Admission to PG Programmes 2020-21 for details). Candidates who have appeared/ appearing in UG Final Semester Examination 2020 are eligible to apply. They should upload the 5th Semester mark sheet if asked to upload the final mark sheet by the online application software.

Cotton University PG Admission Selection Process

- Except for the new self-financing programmes of MLISc, LLM and PG Diploma in Gender studies, Cotton University reserves 50% of the seats for Cotton graduates passed in 2020 or 2019 only.
- An applicant who graduated from Cotton University in 2020 or 2019 with the Honours/Major subject as her his subject of choice for the PG programme, shall be considered for admission in the 50% seats reserved for Cotton Graduates on the basis of the CGPA (Core) obtained in the UG examination.
- Admission in Open Category (Graduates from any recognised institution including Cotton University) shall be based on marks obtained
in the Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (CPGEE 2020).
- The 50% seats reserved for Cotton Graduates in certain subjects as mentioned vide page 2 in the general information for admission to PG
Programmes 2020-21 shall also be filled on the basis of CPGEE 2020 scores.
- Notification for CPGEE 2020 shall be published in the University website shortly by the Controller of Examinations.

Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (CPGEE 2020)

- Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (CPGEE 2020) is an entrance examination for admission into various PG courses offered by Cotton University under Open Category; i.e., Graduates from any recognised institution including Cotton University.
- CGPEE 2020 shall be held during 15 - 21 October 2020.
- The examinations shall be of Objective Multiple Choice type questions and OMR answer sheets shall be used.
- The entrance examination fee of Rs 800.00 (Rupees eight hundred) will have to be paid by all candidates, including Cotton Graduates, at the time of registration for online application. However, there will be a provision to refund the entrance examination fees to those Cotton Graduates who opt for CGPA based selection only and do not appear in the CPGEE 2020.

CPGEE 2020 Examination Fee

Students have to pay Rs. 800.00, payable only through the web portal for online application.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Associate Professor:
(i) Good academic record with a Ph. D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
(ii) A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University (regular/ non-sanctioned), College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

2. Assistant Professor:
(i) A Master„s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET :
(iii) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

3. Assistant Professor (Sankaradeva Studies):
(i) A Master„s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Assamese/ English/ History/ Political Science from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. 4. Assistant for Academic Branch:
(i) Candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board/University.
(ii) Candidate must have experience of working at least two years in Educational Institute/ Govt. & Private Organization.
(iii) Minimum 6 (six) months Certificate Course on basic software packages of Computer Applications such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. from reputed institution.
(iv) Knowledge of Assamese and English typing on the computer.

5. Grade IV:
(i) The candidate must have passed HSLC or an equivalent examination from any recognised Board/University.
(ii) The candidate must have experience of working at least two years in Educational Institute/ Govt. & Private Organization

Application Fee: Candidate are required to pay an amount of Rs. 2,000.00 (Rupees two thousand) only for teaching post and Rs. 1,000.00 (Rupees one thousand) only for non-teaching post by demand draft in favour of “REGISTRAR, MAHAPURUSHA SRIMANTA SANKARADEVA VISWAVIDYALAYA” payable at “State Bank of India, Nagaon Main Branch (IFSC: SBIN0000146)” or Cash at Accounts Branch of the University as an application fees for the post.
