Assam Police Admit Card 2019: Driver Posts @ Prison Department, Assam


Assam Police has announced the examination date as well as is going to release the admit card for the 4 (four) posts of Driver under the Office of the Assam Prison Headquarters, Khanapara, Guwahati. In this regard, an official notification has been released.

Examination Date: 

Candidates those who applied for the recruitment to fill up 4 (four) posts of Driver under the Office of the Assam Prison Headquarters, Khanapara, Guwahati in response to the advertisement issued on 15-11-2017 by the Inspector General of Prisons, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati.

The Written Test for the candidates those who were found eligible, will be held on 22-09-2019 at Guwahati.

Examination Details: 

Written Test will be for 20 marks having multiple choice questions to be answered on OMR Sheets. 

The Written Test will cover General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, History & Politics of Assam and Driving & Road Safety.

The candidates may download their Admit Cards with effect from 13/09/2019 (from 3 PM) onwards by logging in our website police.assam.gov.in or slprbassam.in.

Practical Test: 

On the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination the candidates will be short listed and called for Practical Test to be held on 25-09-2019. The candidates for Practical Test will be called at the rate of ten times the number of vacancies in case of UR & OBC/MOBC category and fifteen times in case of reserved category (SC, ST(P) ST(H).

The Practical Test will consist of Driving, Road Safety, Signals and maintenance of Vehicles.

Educational Qualification:
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. 

Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT: Candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

Age: Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years. Age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/ PH/ Ex-servicemen candidates as per rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Online Examination (Preliminary and Main).

NTA UGC NET December 2019 Examination, Apply Online


On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the month of December 2019 is being conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges for Humanity subjects.

Name of examination: NTA UGC NET December 2019 Examination

Educational Qualification: 
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC   in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc.  are eligible for this Test. 

The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. 

Age: 30 years. A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants. No age limit for Assistant Professor test.

National Testing Agency (NTA): 


National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions.

National Eligibility Test (NET): 


On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) will be conducted between 2nd December 2019 and 6th December 2019 by National Testing Agency (NTA) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Eligibility for Assistant Professor.

The award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only depends on the performance of the candidate in both the papers of NET in aggregate. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Assistant Professor are not to be considered for award of JRF.

Candidates who qualify the Test for eligibility for Assistant Professor are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.

The NTA will conduct the next UGC NET from 02/12/2019 to 06/12/2019. The Test will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. The test will consist of two papers having 50 and 100 number of questions having 100 and 200 marks respectively.

Application Fee: ₹1000/- (₹500/- for OBC candidates and ₹250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) to be paid online.
